EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Shy Ely had 12 points and eight rebounds
and Jason Holsinger scored 11 to lead Evansville to a 53-32 win
over Princeton on Wednesday night.
Kavon Lacey had four assists for the Purple Aces (2-4), who
outrebounded the Tigers 31-24 and scored 16 points off turnovers.
Evansville trailed only once, at 4-3 in the first quarter. The
Purple Aces then took a 5-4 lead on a jumper by Holsinger and never
looked back.
The Purple Aces led 29-12 at the break.
Noah Savage, with 12, was the only player in double figures for
Princeton (2-6).
Evansville shot 22-of-43 overall (51.2 percent) while the Tigers
managed just 13-of-39 (33.3 percent).
Evansville outscored Princeton 30-18 in the paint.
