Welcome to Week 5 and another edition of the Flex Rankings, where we combine the best of the running backs, wide receivers and tight ends into one tidy package. Please be aware that news will change during the week, and some players listed here might not play, while others not listed (Davante Adams) might.
Best of luck in Week 5 and the rest of the 2019 season!
1. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers: The No. 1 scorer in fantasy for PPR leagues so far, and that includes quarterbacks. Pretty impressive.
2. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings: Held in check by the Bears, but now he gets the Giants. He should do well.
3. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints: This is not a timeshare with Latavius Murray, at least not yet. Kamara is doing it all.
4. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys
5. Nick Chubb, RB, Browns
6. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans: I wouldn't say I list him first every week without considering other factors, but most weeks.
7. Julio Jones, WR, Falcons: Stop complaining. That was the first game in which he didn't score a touchdown. No worries.
8. David Johnson, RB, Cardinals: Six or more catches in three of the four games works nicely in PPR formats.
9. Le'Veon Bell, RB, Jets: No volume last week since it was the bye, but plenty in the first three games, and moving forward. Would be nice if he had a decent QB.
10. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers
11. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints: Caught nine passes for 95 yards with Teddy Bridgewater, so again, not much to worry about here, and now Tampa Bay is up!
12. Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers: Speaking of the Bucs, Jameis Winston might be, could be ... reliable now? Or not.
13. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Browns: Quiet in Week 4, but too good for that to continue.
14. Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars: He is running wild and just needs to find the end zone.
15. Todd Gurley II, RB, Rams: He is finding the end zone but needs to find more touches. Short week for the Rams, so who knows what happens here.
16. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts: Missed Week 4 with quad injury, but looking good for this week and a fun one with the Chiefs.
17. Chris Godwin, WR, Buccaneers
18. Amari Cooper, WR, Cowboys
19. Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams: Averaging 11 targets per week and has 100 receiving yards in three straight.
20. Mark Ingram II, RB, Ravens: Ravens trailed most of Week 4, so Lamar Jackson was not doing much handing off.
21. James Conner, RB, Steelers: Encouraging performance on Monday night, but against a bad, bad team.
22. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals: Speaking of that bad, bad team, Mixon is not Miami's Kenyan Drake, and he has numbers, but things might not get a whole lot better either.
23. Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks
24. Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings: Kirk Cousins cannot be this awful every week.
25. Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers: Yeah, going against the consensus here. Perhaps the other guy gets more touches, but Gordon finds the end zone at least once.
26. Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers: The other guy is really good too.
27. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans: Has the Bills this week. If you want to sit him, I would not argue.
28. Aaron Jones, RB, Packers: Fewer than 40 rushing yards in three out of four games, but he gets touchdowns.
29. Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs
30. Julian Edelman, WR, Patriots: Shut down versus Bills, but not playing the Bills this week.
31. Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals
32. Phillip Lindsay, RB, Broncos: Quiet in Week 4, but usage looks fine compared to last season.
33. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks
34. Marlon Mack, RB, Colts
35. Robert Woods, WR, Rams
36. Brandin Cooks, WR, Rams
37. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals: Yards are down the past fortnight, but here comes a trip to Cincinnati to fix that.
38. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers: Lot of short Mason Rudolph passes on Monday and little production for the top receiver. We shall see if it continues.
39. Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons: Still too quiet in the run game, but the receptions save him.
40. David Montgomery, RB, Bears: Can still be a safe RB2 if the Bears allow it. Perhaps with the backup QB it happens.
41. George Kittle, TE, 49ers: Give it more time before assuming last year's yards can't happen again.
42. Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles
43. Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens
44. Sammy Watkins, WR, Chiefs: So that's three uninspiring games in a row. Still think he is a WR1? Of course he's not.
45. Josh Gordon, WR, Patriots: Matchup dictates excitement here.
46. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Broncos
47. Wayne Gallman, RB, Giants: Matchup does not dictate excitement here.
48. James White, RB, Patriots
49. Stefon Diggs, WR, Vikings: At least Cousins looked his way in the second half against Chicago.
50. Christian Kirk, WR, Cardinals: Nursing a sore ankle, so he might not play, or he might be hobbled. Or he might be fine. Not like teams share info.
51. Royce Freeman, RB, Broncos
52. Damien Williams, RB, Chiefs: Has played two games and missed two games. The tie is broken in Week 5. (Yep, no inside info here, sorry.)
53. LeSean McCoy, RB, Chiefs
54. Sony Michel, RB, Patriots: Averaging 2.8 yards per carry and is tied with me in receptions. Not so inspiring.
55. Alshon Jeffery, WR, Eagles
56. Evan Engram, TE, Giants
57. Allen Robinson II, WR, Bears: New QB is Chase Daniels, but the way Mitchell Trubisky was playing, does it matter? OK, that's mean, but think about it.
58. Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens
59. Chris Thompson, RB, Redskins: Safe floor for catches, valuable in PPR.
60. Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears: Running out of time if he wants to keep getting ranked at all. Has no numbers this season.
61. Carlos Hyde, RB, Texans: He is on pace for 1,000 rushing yards. Yep, Carlos Hyde. He has not gotten there before.
62. Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders
63. Sterling Shepard, WR, Giants
64. Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos: See, Joe Flacco can throw touchdown passes. Sutton seems a bit underrated, actually.
65. Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles: Well, he held on to the football, so that is a great sign.
66. Jordan Howard, RB, Eagles: He is probably wondering what he has to do to get ranked ahead of Sanders. Three touchdowns was not enough.
67. Frank Gore, RB, Bills: Even in PPR, he is No. 24 in scoring. That works.
68. Robby Anderson, WR, Jets: Eagles secondary remains a mess. Anderson should eat.
69. Calvin Ridley, WR, Falcons
70. Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons
71. DJ Moore, WR, Panthers
72. Rex Burkhead, RB, Patriots
73. Matt Breida, RB, 49ers: Crowded backfield a bit more so this week, so if you want to avoid all San Fran running backs, fine with me.
74. Jarvis Landry, WR, Browns: Hey, that was a big game! Do you believe this one or the lack of production from the first three? There are no wrong answers. I think he plays this weekend (concussion), but if not, Antonio Callaway could matter.
75. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Packers: Not sure I would drop him much if Davante Adams plays. And I'd rank Adams where Hilton is if he does play.
76. Phillip Dorsett II, WR, Patriots: I appear alone on the staff in ranking him this high, but, um, why? We could rank him ahead of Josh Gordon, really.
77. Ronald Jones II, RB, Buccaneers: No telling when his good performances will come, which is a bit frustrating.
78. Peyton Barber, RB, Buccaneers
79. Latavius Murray, RB, Saints
80. Jamison Crowder, WR, Jets: I think Sam Darnold plays and, yes, it matters.
81. Greg Olsen, TE, Panthers: Give this veteran big credit because he is playing great.
82. Terry McLaurin, WR, Redskins
83. John Brown, WR, Bills
84. DJ Chark Jr., WR, Jaguars: The touchdown maker for the mustachioed one.
85. Devin Singletary, RB, Bills: Probably not 100%, if he plays at all. His time will come, though.
86. Tevin Coleman, RB, 49ers: No idea on this one. Too many cooks in this kitchen.
87. Mecole Hardman, WR, Chiefs
88. Demarcus Robinson, WR, Chiefs
89. Tyrell Williams, WR, Raiders
90. Curtis Samuel, WR, Panthers
91. Will Dissly, TE, Seahawks
92. Jamaal Williams, RB, Packers
93. Duke Johnson, RB, Texans
94. Raheem Mostert, RB, 49ers
95. Jaylen Samuels, RB, Steelers
96. Golden Tate, WR, Giants: Back from suspension and should do things. Talented slot option.
97. Mike Williams, WR, Chargers: Not sure he plays through injury, and he has been annoyingly quiet so far.
98. Darren Waller, TE, Raiders: The matchup is the problem here, as his volume should be affected. Defenses know.
99. Delanie Walker, TE, Titans
100. Malcolm Brown, RB, Rams: Sleeper pick for a short week.
Others: Geronimo Allison, WR, Packers; Mohamed Sanu, WR, Falcons; DeSean Jackson, WR, Eagles; DK Metcalf, WR, Seahawks; Auden Tate, WR, Bengals; Will Fuller V, WR, Texans; Giovani Bernard, RB, Bengals; Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts; Cole Beasley, WR, Bills; Randall Cobb, WR, Cowboys; Diontae Johnson, WR, Steelers; Rashaad Penny, RB, Seahawks; Ito Smith, RB, Falcons; Adrian Peterson, RB, Redskins; Dion Lewis, RB, Titans; Ty Montgomery, RB, Jets; Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars
