Roto-league rankings and reaction

Injuries are the story this week, with James Harden (hamstring) set to miss the next two weeks while Stephen Curry and Blake Griffin are back and Isaiah Thomas is set to make his season debut.

Harden, who has been ranked as the top 2-guard most of the season, drops all the way down to No. 8 for the time being. That's what happens when you have players such as LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, DeMarcus Cousins, Karl-Anthony Towns and Curry playing as well as they are.

Curry returns to the top 10, coming in at No. 7 after exploding for 38 points and hitting 10 3-pointers in his first game back Saturday against Memphis. A healthy Curry means fewer stats for Kevin Durant, but I still list Durant at No. 2, though Antetokounmpo, Cousins and Towns all are playing well enough to be in that discussion.

Griffin poured in 24 and 25 points in his first two games since returning to the court, averaging 32.5 minutes per game, and he moves up to No. 37.

Thomas, who plays his first game with Cleveland on Tuesday, is one spot behind Griffin at No. 38. He has said that though his hip feels healed, his timing feels off. We will see how quickly the Cavaliers ramp up his workload, and there's a chance Thomas could be a top-20 fantasy player once he returns to form, but that could take a month or so.

Others who move up this week include Jimmy Butler (12), Kyle Lowry (28), Aaron Gordon (39), Eric Bledsoe (43) and Evan Fournier (46).

Outside the top 50, the likes of Kris Dunn (55), Pau Gasol (65), Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (67), Hassan Whiteside (72), Dario Saric (80), Caris LeVert (81), Bismack Biyombo (114) and Tyler Johnson (115) make up other notable risers.

All of these players have been playing excellent ball over the past week, but Gasol, Saric and LeVert are three who were ranked below 100 last week who stood out in particular. Another in that boat is Biyombo, who was unranked before filling in for Nikola Vucevic and recording three straight double-doubles with 13 blocks in his past four games.

On the flip side, veterans Danny Green and Ekpe Udoh fall off the list this week.
