Fantasy baseball's Week 22 is the final regular-season week in ESPN standard leagues. After this week, the top four teams in the standings will advance to the playoffs, with the team with the best record facing the wild-card team with the worst record, and the remaining two teams squaring off.

If there's a race to be had for the National League East title, the New York Mets need a strong, week-opening series against the Philadelphia Phillies from Monday through Wednesday. Interleague play also brings us a pair of compelling series, with the Seattle Mariners hosting the San Diego Padres for three games Monday through Wednesday, and the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers visiting the American League East-leading Toronto Blue Jays for three games from Friday through Sunday.

Defending NL Cy Young Award winner Chris Sale seems likely to rejoin the Atlanta Braves' rotation on Thursday in Philadelphia, after missing the past two months due to a fractured left rib. Sale was scheduled to make what appeared to be a final minor league rehabilitation start for Double-A Columbus on Saturday, Aug. 23, before being ready for activation by the Braves.
