Victor "Food" Wong has signed with T1 to be the fourth starting member of their upcoming VALORANT pro team, joining Braxton "Brax" Pierce, Keven "AZK" Larivière and Austin "crashies" Roberts in the lineup.

"It feels great [to join T1]," Food told ESPN. "Obviously, T1 is a big name in League of Legends, so I'm definitely happy to be a part of them."
Food comes from the world of professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where he most recently played on organization-less team Swole Patrol. Two of his teammates on Swole Patrol, Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir and Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro, have also announced their retirement from Counter-Strike in the past week to go pro in VALORANT's upcoming esports scene.
Although the 23-year-old American wasn't thinking of leaving Counter-Strike behind, playing VALORANT only to see if he enjoyed it, his mindset change once the legendary T1 organization reached out to see if he'd be interested in possibly joining their roster. Food and Brax played together on the same Swole Patrol team in early 2019, with the pair competing in an Intel Extreme Masters qualifier for an event in Sydney, Australia.
T1 is only one of a slew of top esports organizations eyeing VALORANT as the next big esport. Rivals Gen.G, Sentinels, Cloud9 and NRG Esports are currently building rosters to compete in the North American region as the game moves toward its official release this summer.
"Hopefully, the fans I have from CS:GO don't leave me," Food said. "Hopefully, they'll still support me in VALORANT, and obviously all the new fans that'll be coming in, I hope you support me, as well."
