Optic Gaming signs Dardoch

OpTic Gaming signed former Echo Fox jungler Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett on Tuesday for the upcoming North American League Championship Series Split.

Dardoch was the subject of an introductory tweet by OpTic: "The jungle is a dangerous place, even more so now that the former Rookie of the Split and 2nd NA LCS All-Pro Team Joshua 'Dardoch' Hartnett has joined our roster."

Echo Fox tweeted in response to the move, "Thank you @Dardochlol for everything during your time on Echo Fox. We appreciated all the hard work and dedication you put in to help make 2018 the fantastic year it was! We wish you the best on @OpTicLoL"

The move to acquire Dardoch was unexpected because previously this offseason OpTic signed William "Meteos" Hartman, the former jungler of 100 Thieves and FlyQuest Academy. However, it looks as though the Green Wall is looking to bolster its League of Legends roster with as much talent as possible.

Dardoch helped Echo Fox finish second in the NA LCS 2018 Spring Split. He previously competed for Team Liquid.

The release of Dardoch is the latest major roster move for Echo Fox. The NA LCS team conducted a massive trade with Clutch Gaming in November that saw multiple players switch organizations. Echo Fox also recently signed Kim "Fenix" Jae-hun and Lee "Rush" Yoon-jae to the team and parted ways with Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon and Andy "Smoothie" Ta.
