Team EnVyUs intends to retain the majority of its League of Legends players except for jungler Kim "Procxin" Se-young following a period of uncertainty and disjointedness within the team over the past few months, sources close to the players and the team told ESPN.
The team is likely to pursue an import jungler from South Korea, sources say, but no talent has been specified nor has any deal come to a close.
The team will keep top laner Shin "Seraph" Woo-yeong, mid laner Noh "Ninja" Geon-woo and support Nickolas "Hakuho" Surgent for its 2017 lineup, according to sources. The team wishes to keep AD carry Benjamin "LOD" DeMunck, but his fate is uncertain as other teams, including Team Dignitas, have expressed interest in acquiring his talent and his contract. Each of these players' contracts do not expire until Nov. 20, 2017.
Earlier in the offseason, Team EnVyUs was uncertain of its lineup due to issues between its four players. Those issues since have been resolved, sources say, and the team's members have reconciled with one another. It will now search for a new jungler to replace Procxin.
This summer marked the first time Team EnVyUs, which got its start in Call of Duty in 2007, expanded into the League of Legends market with the purchase of Renegades' League Championship Series spot in May. The team had mixed success in the summer -- taking fifth/sixth place -- and failed to qualify for the League of Legends World Championship.
