Confirmed: Immortals sign Dardoch, Pobelter returns

In his re-debut with Liquid, Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett proved that his talents alone couldn't carry the team to victory. Provided by Riot Games

Update: Since the time of publication, Immortals has confirmed Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett as jungler for three years and Eugene "Pobelter" Park as mid laner for two more years. Original story continues below.

North American League of Legends team Immortals has signed former Team Liquid jungler Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett and intends to come to a new agreement with mid laner Eugene "Pobelter" Park for the 2017 season, sources close to the team and players tell ESPN.

The team will take former Dream Team AD carry Cody "Massacre" Sun to its boot camp in South Korea next week, although no agreement between the two parties has been finalized. Massacre will try out alongside the likes of former KT Rolster support Lee "Piccaboo" Jong-beom and former ROX Tigers support Kang "GorillA" Beom-hyeon, sources say.

The deal with Dardoch comes after he left Team Liquid on Nov. 23. In August, Team Liquid attempted to sell Dardoch's contract to Echo Fox, but that deal was denied by League Championship Series organizer Riot Games due to a lock on the trade period for the 2016 summer split. Instead, Dardoch signed with Immortals several weeks ago.

This move comes after Immortals' former starting top laner, AD carry, support and jungler left the lineup.

Former jungler Kim "Reignover" Yeu-jin signed an agreement with Team Liquid several weeks ago, and former support Adrian "Adrian" Ma joined Phoenix1 around the same time. Former top laner Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon is expected to sign with SK Telecom T1 in the coming days, according to sources.

Former AD carry Jason "WildTurtle" Tran competed with Team SoloMid at Intel Extreme Masters Oakland on Nov. 19-20, but has not come to an agreement to join a new team.

Immortals declined to comment.
