A back-and-forth game swung toward Samsung Galaxy's favor after a few Baron plays put North America's Team SoloMid on the back foot at the 2016 League of Legends World Championship. Samsung's Lee "Crown" Min-ho continues to impress on Viktor, solo killing Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg early. Crown went 4/2/8 with his Rylai's Crystal Scepter build, slowing down enemies to help secure kills.

With First Blood and a second kill going to SSG early, TSM showed its resolve and outplay ability from AD carry Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng and Vincent "Biofrost" Wang by outmaneuvering SSG's bot lane in a skirmish. First tower for the team from North America meant a lead for them, but Samsung won the vision game and made some good plays around Baron that pushed Samsung ahead.

Overall, TSM looked crisp when making plays as a unit, but Samsung controlled the tempo most of the game. SSG ultimately bullied its way into the base to drop the Nexus in about 45 minutes. TSM sits at 2-2 and Samsung moves to 3-1 in Group D.
