H2k evens the score in win over ahq

H2k survived a relentless team fight and an epic Baron steal to beat ahq e-Sports Club and pull even in Group C at Worlds. Riot Games

H2k-Gaming took down ahq e-Sports Club to improve to 2-2 in the League of Legends World Championships Group C. The best European hope to advance past the Worlds group stage was in strong form and played a complete game in 41 minutes, and H2K was firmly in control for the majority of the match.

H2K built an early advantage off of the lane phase, with better lane presence from Yoo "Ryu" Sang-ook and Andrei "Odoamne" Pascu, and transitioned to a strong midgame macro plan. They took advantage of ahq's liberal use of both summoner spells and teleports, and outmaneuvered the opposition for advantageous team fights and ganks.

Ahq would punish the pace and passivity of H2K and ramped up aggression with forced team fights, and it even a stolen Baron for a small comeback. But, behind Ryu's stellar Ryze and Odoamne's ability to buy time and tank up obscene damage, the composition kited ahq in every major team fight and engagement.

Ryu was the easy MVP of the game, ending with a kill/death/ratio stat line of 6/1/5.
