The world's biggest kabaddi festival is back as the Pro Kabaddi League auctions get underway in Mumbai today. Most teams have opted to from their teams from scratch this season as the likes of Pawan Sehrawat, Pardeep Narwal, Siddharth Desai and Fazel Atrachali will all go under the hammer today.

Pawan, who has been among the most consistent players in PKL's history, has been released by the Bengaluru Bulls and is bound to generate a lot of interest. So will Iranian defender Fazel, the most expensive and successful foreign player in PKL history.

Pardeep, who attracted the League's highest bid ever last season when UP Yoddha picked him up for 1.65 crores, will be one to watch out for, while Vikash Kandola looks for a new team after not being retained by Haryana Steelers. Siddharth Desai, who is making a comeback after hurting his right shoulder at the start of last season, will also garner a fair bit of interest.

All the players in the Player Auction pool are divided into four categories: Categories A, B, C and D. The players in each of these categories will have a different base price from which bidding will begin. The base prices for each of the categories are Category A - INR 30 Lakhs, Category B - INR 20 Lakhs, Category C - INR 10 Lakhs and Category D - INR 6 Lakhs.
