Preston Smith's return to the Packers comes with a cap reduction of $7.25 million for 2021. He will now count $8.25 million instead of $16 million. According to multiple reports, he received a $6.5 million signing bonus but cut his base salary to $1 million (from $6.85 million). NFL Network and SI.com said he can still make close to or even more than the $12 million he was slated to make if he reaches his added incentives.
