The Texans have signed CB Phillip Gaines to a one-year contract, a source confirmed to ESPN. The Houston Chronicle first reported the news. Gaines played in six games for Houston in 2019 before injuring his ankle and missing the rest of the season. The Texans need help in the secondary because they are not expected to re-sign cornerback Bradley Roby and they have already announced veteran cornerback Johnathan Joseph will test free agency.
