The opening game on Sunday's WNBA slate is sure to draw major attention as Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark welcomes the Dallas Wings and rookie phenom Paige Bueckers to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The highly anticipated matchup is the first time the two most recent No. 1 overall draft picks will face each other in their professional careers.
While both the Fever and Wings have struggled this season, Bueckers and Clark are in the midst of incredible All-Star seasons. Clark, in her second year has averaged 17 points and 8.6 assist per game, while Bueckers has averaged 18.1 PPG and 5.4 APG in her first year in the league.

Caitlin Clark over 8.5 assists (-120).
Clark and the Fever have underperformed this season, and Indiana would love to build some momentum heading into the All-Star break with a win over the Wings. While Clark hasn't shot the ball well, she has shined as a facilitator and cleared this line in eight of her past 11 games. It would be wise for her to lean on her teammates rather than carrying the full offensive load. The Wings have allowed the most assists per game to opponents this season, making this a favorable matchup to showcase Clark's playmaking ability. -- Moody
Paige Bueckers over 27.5 total points, assists and rebounds (-105).
Arike Ogunbowale is probable to play after sitting out the past three games. This is key, because Bueckers seems to be at her best when she and Ogunbowale are playing off of each other. While Bueckers has had two straight down games with Ogunbowale out (14.5 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 3.5 APG), she averaged 20.0 PPG, 4.2 RPG and 5.2 APG (29.4 PAR) in her past five games with Ogunbowale. That includes her last game against the Fever, when Bueckers dropped 27 points, had six assists and grabbed one rebound (34 PAR). Her potential is even higher with Clark back as well, because Clark has a propensity to be good for both offenses with her offense creation and high turnover rate. This projects to be a higher scoring game where Bueckers is able to maximize her all-around game. -- Snellings
Aliyah Boston over 24.5 points and rebounds (+115).
While many eyes will be on Clark and Bueckers, don't overlook Boston in this matchup. She has surpassed this line in three of her past five games and averaged 29.6 MPG during that span. Boston cleared this line the last time the two teams played and continues to have a favorable matchup. Dallas has allowed the second most points and sixth most rebounds per game to forwards this season. -- Moody
Fever OVER 91.5 points (-110)
With emotions and expectations running high, I'm bullish on the over for this game. The Fever have averaged nearly 87 points per game with Clark on the court, while the Wings have allowed an average of 86 points to opponents (10th most). It's also worth noting the Wings gave up 94 points to a Clark-less squad back on June 27. Neither Clark nor Bueckers has been particularly efficient from a shooting perspective as of late, but I expect that to shift given the scope of this matchup, driving up the score on Sunday. -- Loza
