Ethan D'Souza and Matiullah Khan, both uncapped in T20Is, and Haider Ali, who has not played at the international level yet, have been included in UAE's 15-member squad, led by Muhammad Waseem, for the two-match series against Bangladesh in Sharjah starting later this week.
Vriitya Aravind, Basil Hameed and Junaid Siddiqui, meanwhile, are among the prominent players to have been dropped. Mayank Kumar, Vishnu Sukumaran, Tanish Suri, Syed Haider, Aayan Afzal Khan, Ali Naseer, Muhammad Farooq, Nilansh Keswani, Omid Shafi Rahman are out too.
D'Souza, a 19-year-old left-hand batter, has played seven games in the ILT20 while Matiullah, 32, is a medium pacer with an ODI cap.
Aravind is UAE's second-leading run-getter in T20Is, Siddiqui their highest wicket-taker in the format, and Hameed their third-most capped T20I player.
Aravind and Hameed did not play in UAE's last T20I assignment, the Gulf T20I Championship, despite being in the squad, while Siddiqui was the highest wicket-taker in that competition. UAE won the tournament beating Kuwait in the final.
The two matches against Bangladesh on May 17 and 19 will be UAE's first T20I assignment since that Gulf T20I Championship. The opposition - Bangladesh - will be a step up from that competition, where Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar were in contention with UAE.
UAE go into the Bangladesh series on the back of some poor results in the Cricket World Cup League 2 in the Netherlands in May. They lost twice each to Netherlands and Scotland, while winning just one - against Scotland - when Rahul Chopra scored a century and left-arm spinner Simranjeet Singh picked up four wickets.
