Lahore humble the table-toppers with a thumping 88-run win. They were barely ruffled in this lop-sided affair at home. The batters did a phenomenal job setting 210, which gave the bowlers the license to go for the kill and they found heaps of success with that approach. It was a fantastic all-round performance that will do a world of good to their confidence. On a pitch that offered plenty of assistance to both quicks and spinners, Lahore put up an imposing total and seemed to have a well chalked out plan in place. Islamabad, in reply, were all over the place; no substantial contributions from batting backbone made life tough and nobody managed to convert their starts into something big and match-winning. Rauf picked up 4 and bowled with a lot of venom in his spells, Raza snapped up 3 with his smart spinning methods while Shaheen and Asif chipped in with one wicket apiece. Islamabad remain on top of the tree while Lahore are right next to them now with 8 points
