11.35 PM: That's it from ESPNcricinfo's coverage of Sunday's double-header in PSL 2022. We hope you enjoyed our watch. Don't forget to join us again tomorrow when Quetta Gladiators take on the defending champions Multan Sultans. Until then, it's goodbye and goodnight from Momin and the rest of the team.
Shaheen Afridi: "We wanted to play positive, aggressive cricket from the get go and look for wickets early on. Rashid Khan through the middle phases was excellent. Haris Rauf made a good comeback following yesterday's game. The senior members of the team are assisting me in captaincy-related decisions and they are always there to guide me. I hope Fakhar can keep batting like this for Lahore and Pakistan, he was quite brilliant."
Babar Azam: "I felt we got a good score on the board after playing well in the powerplay. I want to credit Fakhar Zaman for his outstanding innings. Our pacers didn't execute the variations at the dying overs and I feel we need to field well too."
Fakhar Zaman, quite deservedly, is the player of the match. "I try to think of it as one ball at a time and I don't try anything significantly different. The pitch was taking some turn for their spinners so I had to carefully take the chance against them. With time, I am becoming more aware of my role at the top of the order."
Presentations coming your way shortly, stay tuned
11.20 PM: Third consecutive defeat for Babar Azam and Karachi Kings and they now find themselves at the bottom of the ladder. Take nothing away from Lahore Qalandars, though. They did extremely well to restrict the opposition to 170, a below-par total after the kind of start they had; remaining unscathed for the entirety of the first 10 overs. The honors, however, belong to one and only man - Fakhar Zaman - for his staggering innings of 106 off 60. He didn't find much support from the top-order but Mohammad Hafeez and Samit Patel stuck around for long enough to allow him to unleash his wrath on the Kings. Lahore Qalandars now have the crucial two points that they were eyeing while Karachi Kings are yet to open their account. Difficult times for Babar Azam and co as they ponder over the possible weaklings and how they can tweak their combination for the upcoming matches.
Sami: "I think Karachi had enough on the board some really poor bowling from the quicks the spinners went pretty well but the quicks bowled poorly. Too short to Fakhar when they clearly see he likes it short. And the middle order really needs a look at as I see no finisher here."
Ibad: "The thing Karachi kings are lacking is good bowling. Nabi and imad are not performing. Umaid asif is not good enough to be leader for bowling. Can't wait for aamir to come back"
Scores are level with 5 balls still to be bowled
5 off 6 now
Right, 6 off 6 and Lewis Gregory to bowl
David Wiese the new man in, 7 needed off 7
Fakhar departs for a magnificent 106 off 60. A flicker of hope for the Kings?
