Lahore Qalandars started off terrifically but the innings ebbed and flowed. Despite losing wickets, Quetta Gladiators never let their intent waver and kept finding the fence at regular intervals. Shaheen Afridi was right on top of his game - electric in the field -and delivered a stupendous opening burst. Hasan Nawaz then came in and batted fluently, capitalizing on his rich vein of form and showing no signs of nerves. Quetta lost a flurry of wickets at the death but Faheem Ashraf clubbed three sixes and a four in the final over to swing the momentum back in their favor. There were also quite a few dropped chances that could prove decisive in the end

Lahore Qalandars have taken a concussion substitute for Asif Ali, who collided with Mohammad Naeem in the field during their 12th over. Mohammad Akhlaq will replace Asif for the remainder of the innings.
