9:29 pm Alright, so a rather disappointing end for the Karachi Kings with the bat. They've finished well below the par score we were anticipating earlier. Though they'll take some satisfaction from how they closed out the innings, with that boundary off a misfield right at the death! They certainly started with a bang, cracking 14 runs in the very first over. The opening partnership with Seifert was lively, putting on 43 runs before Seifert tried to hook a bouncer over square leg and departed. Warner led the charge, guiding his team to 70 runs in the Powerplay. But oh dear, the Qalandars' fielding has been quite poor tonight! Warner was dropped on 47 by Haris Rauf, and then again on 61 by Naeem at deep square leg. Just too many misfields and dropped catches out there, really schoolboy stuff from the Qalandars! Warner was the best batter from the Karachi Kings' batting unit, scoring 75 runs off 52 deliveries. Khushdil Shah played a handy cameo down the order to salvage some runs in the end. Credit where it's due, the spinners were absolutely top-notch for the Qalandars. Naeem picked up two crucial wickets, and Shakib bagged one. Rauf was also good with the ball, despite those drops, claiming three wickets himself. So, the big question now: will this total be enough for the Karachi Kings to defend? We'll find out after a short break, don't go anywhere!
Sajid: "A tad unhappy with the captaincy. The spinners only bowled 4 overs despite of taking 2 wickets (that of Warner and Vince!) for just 19 runs in 4 overs. Spinners could have bowled those middle overs bowled by Afridi and Mirza! "
Armaghan Bashir: "This run bleeding at the end is gonna cost Lahore at least something......if not a lot."
