Salman Mirza gets the Player of the Match award for his outstanding performance with the ball, taking four wickets in his maiden PSL 2025 game.
12:35 am Well, folks, history has been made tonight, and not in the way Peshawar Zalmi fans would have hoped! For the very first time in PSL history, Peshawar Zalmi have missed out on a playoff spot! There are so many ifs and buts, lost catches, and squandered opportunities for the Zalmi squad. After a significant delay of concert and ceremony, we finally got back to the action, but it seemed that the break completely stifled Zalmi's momentum. They lost wickets far too frequently in the Powerplay and simply couldn't find a way to accelerate their innings. Salman Mirza was the chief destroyer, wreaking havoc with three crucial wickets, including two stunning consecutive deliveries that cleaned up the stumps. Due to their batting lineup's constant wicket losses during their innings, Zalmi was never really in this match. Their batting unit just lacked focus; too many careless, irresponsible strokes were made, virtually handing them wickets. The Qalandars, on the other hand, bowled brilliantly; they were really precise with their line and length, maintaining things tight and drying up the boundaries. Salman Mirza was, without a doubt, the best of the bowlers, taking four wickets. Shaheen Afridi took two wickets, with Raza and Rauf sharing the rest.
Hamza: "@Haroon as much as I love Haris, unfortunately he's been like this for some time now. But with Saim, everyone was expecting a return to the player we saw before the CT. It looks like bowlers have figured out how to get Haris out and he hasn't been able to adjust."
Lahore Qalandars won by 26 runs
Rauf to bowl the last over
