Alright peeps, that's it from this game! Catch you tomorrow with more PSL action. Goodbye for now and a Happy Easter to those who are celebrating!
Shadab Khan, Player of the Match: As a team, the way we planned, drafted our squad, we took the conditions and weather into consideration. Both teams got fooled by the pitch; we expected it to seam but the ball remained low. Thought we assessed the conditions really well. It wasn't easy to bat but Azam and Sahibzada gave us great starts which made it difficult for Karachi. It was difficult to play across and we talked how to target straighter boundary and I think we played really well. We need to pick more energy in the field and there's a margin of improvement in the bowling but we don't need to make any big changes. Squad members are ready and they know they could be asked to play anytime.
Islamabad with another statement win--a one-sided affair. The victory was set up by a phenomenal, concerted bowling effort, as both the spinners and pacers exploited the conditions brilliantly and never allowed Karachi Kings to break free. Chasing a modest 129, Islamabad faced no scoreboard pressure and simply gyrated their way to a comfortable win. Islamabad are going from strength to strength in this competition and remain the side to beat--every base is covered and all engines are firing at full throttle. On the flip side, concerns for the Kings. Their performances swing between highs and lows, with not much consistency. It was a below-par total and in many ways, the game was done right there. IU adjusted to the conditions quickly, and the bowlers were spot on. The same can't be said for KK, who were under the pump throughout, with a slim total that was never going to be enough to defend
