11.45 PM: That's it from ESPNcricinfo's live coverage of Match 17 of PSL 2022. Don't forget to join us back tomorrow when Islamabad United take on Quetta Gladiators. We hope you enjoyed our watch. Till next time, it's goodbye and goodnight from Momin Butt and the rest of the crew.
Shaheen Afridi: "I am enjoying my captaincy and leading my team in front of our home crowd was special tonight. We are doing well in all three facets of the game. Rashid's overs were really important for us and he bowled exceptionally well tonight. I think it's important to back up the fielders when there are slight blips and errors. It's part of the game, everyone tries to give their best. We did well in the last leg, too, and we have started well here in Lahore. We'll look to ride on this momentum."
Mohammad Rizwan: "We wanted to experiment so we chose to bowl first. The way Fakhar started and the finishing provided by Hafeez and Salt took the momentum away from us. I don't think dew was much of a worry, I just feel the Qalandars were better than us tonight and they bowled really well tonight."
Fakhar Zaman is the player of the match. "I am trying to take it ball-by-ball and take it long if I settle in. If a top-order batter bats at least 10 overs, then it's better for the team and I am trying to do that. Karachi's decks were more batting-friendly, here it's slightly difficult especially against the new ball. This is an important victory for us as we've halted the defending champions in their tracks. The atmosphere was incredible tonight and I hope it will be even better when 100% crowd capacity is allowed."
Presentations coming shortly, stay tuned
11.30 PM: The Qalandars have done it and they've done it emphatically. They came close to knocking over the Sultans in Karachi, too, but avenging them in front of their home crowd would taste sweeter. It was set up by a red-hot fast-bowling spell early on where Shaheen Afridi plucked out the in-form Shan Masood. Sohaib Maqsood and Mohammad Rizwan then went about steadying the ship but couldn't inject any impetus in the run-chase. Rashid Khan's double strike through the middle-overs then meant that Multan were always chasing the game. Tim David showcased his firepower for a short span of time and when he was dismissed by Zaman Khan, it was just about over for the Sultans. All four of Lahore's front-line bowlers were amongst the wickets with Zaman taking the honors for his 3/21. The Qalandars have consolidated their position in the upper half of the ladder and are breathing down the Sultans' necks now.

Abbasi: "Qalandars are almost like Pakistan cricket team. not the favorites in tournaments but still most exciting to watch, unpredictable, losing from the loose ones and crushing top sides, dropping catches and many more similarities. "
