That's that from ESPNcricinfo's live coverage of Match 11 of PSL 2022. Don't forget us to join us again tomorrow for the double-header. For now, it's goodbye and goodnight from Momin Butt and the rest of the crew.
Wahab Riaz: "Teams putting runs on the board are faring better here in recent days since batting 2nd isn't as straightforward. Everyone is chipping in and adjusting to the conditions really well. Umar and Irshad were wonderful tonight, hats off to them, that's the kind of performances we need as a team from them and it will boost everyone's confidence."
Babar Azam: "The pitch was on the slow side and I think we leaked some extra runs in the middle and death overs. On the batting front, we couldn't get a partnership rolling. I tried to take it deep but we didn't work our way. Yes, it was to take the slower deliveries on, unfortunately we couldn't execute tonight. We would want to learn from tonight and not repeat our mistakes from here on."
Shoaib Malik is the player of the match. "You have to play your shots in this format, SR has to be 140-plus, openers gave us a good start too. I assessed the conditions as soon as possible and kept backing my strokeplay. We have played on this strip before and we realized bowling those slower deliveries was the way to go."
Presentations coming shortly, stay tuned
Ajay: "Zalmi did not panic, they stuck to their plan, and defended good total. KK on other hand, just forgot how or when or who should take the Zalmi bowlers to the attack. "
Fawad Tariq: "Only if Nabi had scored a bit more than 10(10) when pitch was looking decent. I think that phase of the innings shifted the momentum towards Zalmi otherwise Babar's inning was fine considering he holds the innings and anchored it. Yes it's painful while scoring 90 but losing by 9 runs is better than losing by 30-40 odd runs as NRR is going to make a huge impact. "
11.15 PM: So Babar Azam's valiant effort of 90 off 63 balls goes in vain as Karachi Kings lose their fourth game on the trot. Much like their opposition, the Kings commenced sluggishly and were under pressure early when they lost two wickets with just three runs on the board. Babar went about the ship-steadying work with Ian Cockbain who looked terrific for his 31 off 19 on a slow pitch. But once he was dismissed, the Kings couldn't find someone to provide that impetus through the middle phases. With the Zalmi bowlers digging it into the pitch and offering no pace to work with, Babar and co found it difficult to up the ante and score as per the required rate. Mohammad Umar, in particular, was superb for his 3/22 that broke the back of Karachi's batting line-up. In the end, it was too much work to be done at the rear-end and Zalmi managed to secure what turned out to be a comprehensive victory.
Peshawar Zalmi have won by 9 runs
29 needed off the last over, Hussain Talat to bowl it
Isaac Marshall: "Hope people don't blame Babar. Rest of the team got 64 off 54 so far, only difference is that is over 7 innings and gave away 6 wickets. And don't forget what their role is and what Babar's role is."

EbnHussein : "The last four matches have been won by teams batting first but all the captains in those matches chose to bowl first? Is it time to break the trend of deciding to bowl first? The dew factor hasn't played much of role. "
