10.15 pm Kamran Akmal was in rare form, slog sweeping and flat-batting his way towards a hundred. With the pitch being so flat and Karachi's bowling attack looking even flatter, he could have easily got there. Still 86 off 48 is a pretty good innings for an opening batsman in T20s and with Imam also chipping in with a fifty, Peshawar have a 200-plus total on board and a pretty cool bowling attack to defend it. Special mention to Mohammad Amir who finished with 3 for 24 on a day when all his team-mates went for nine or ten an over.

Nayyar Raza Kha: "In the presence of Aamir, Hassan, Junaid and Shaheen Afridi we don't need any fast bowler for this WC, in the presence of Faheem, Imad and Hafeez we don't need any allrounder too, we have Shadab as a spinner. We only need a solid and power ful middle order batsman that can hit the ball as well rotate the strike and build a partnership, for this it's a fight between Umar Akmal and Asif Ali."
