McGrath collects the ODI series trophy and poses with her team-mates for a photo. Such a dominant series this was for them. Lots to ponder upon for India, and we will know what exactly changes as soon as next week when they take on West Indies in the ODI series in Vadodara. Before that, there's a T20I series coming up starting Sunday, which is also the day for WPL 2025 auction. Lots of action coming up, lots of content to consume. Make sure to keep checking them out. For now, on behalf of Raghav and Shashank, this is Sudarshanan bidding you goodbye! Ciao, take care.
8:20pm Time for the presentation
Annabel Sutherland, the Player of the Match and Player of the Series: "The Indian quicks challenged us, picked up a few wickets early and made things tough. Ash and I were able to grind through and cash in towards the back end. Always tough to find ways to climb up the order. Girls have batted beautifully. We spoke about how we want to play and glad it came off in these two games. Just looking after my body and travel, you go back to the work in pre-season and make sure we arrive fit for these conditions."
Harmanpreet Kaur, India captain: "We bowled well, Arundhati especially, because of her we were in the game. We have a lot to lean from these games, will go back and analyse the tour. Smriti knock and when Richa scored 50 in the second game, that was crucial. We did well in patches, did not continue to keep the momentum. We have to learn how to take things till the end."
Tahlia McGrath, Australia captain: "Very happy, in particularly, Ash [Gardner] and Belsy [Sutherland] were good with bat and ball. Someone different has stood up every game, collective approach and we back each other and everyone is stoked for them. Our batting is the highlight for me, our top four took the game on in game two, Belsy today, in patches we were good with the ball. A bit of work to do there, being consistent."
8:13pm A 3-0 clean sweep by Australia against India, after a comfortable win. Did not look like that would be the case about nine overs ago when Mandhana was on song with a fantastic century. Once Gardner was brought back for her second spell, she really ran through India's middle and lower order with a fabulous five-wicket haul. A chase that looked to be on track rapidly derailed to a massive defeat. The lack of firepower in the middle and lower order has been exposed, especially after Ghosh's elevation to the top of the order. A target of 299 against Australia was always a tall ask, good on Mandhana to help India make a game of it. She was in sublime touch and paced her innings well. Even after India lost Deol and Harmanpreet, it looked India had things under control with Rodrigues enjoying her extended Australian tour that began with the WBBL. But once Gardner skid one through Mandhana, there was no looking back. Back with the presentations shortly.
Here's Namooh Shah: India have lost only twice when Smriti Mandhana has scored a century, both vs Australia: 102 (109) in Hobart and 105 (109) tonight
