1.18pm A disciplined bowling effort from Bangladesh, but fifties from Jemimah Roridues and Harmanpreet Kaur have ensured India get to a more that respectable 228 for 8. Sending India into bat, Bangladesh struck early, getting rid of Priya Punia and Yastika Bhatia. Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur were slow before the former fell to Rabeya Khan. Jemimah Rodrigues, however, was quick off the blocks. She made sure to rotate the strike and gave the innings the much-needed impetus even as Harmanpreet remained cautious. The duo added a good stand but Harmanpreet was forced to retire hurt on 48 after being hit on the wrist. Jemimah upped the scoring rate reaching her highest ODI score before falling in the penultimate over. Harmanpreet did come back but was not able to do much. Bangladesh picked up 39 for 5 in the last five overs, but India will be happy with 228. Bangladesh will need to notch up their highest-ever chase in ODIs to seal the series. Can they do it? Join Srinidhi in a bit to find out.
Suraj: "Jemi with a career best score striking at 111 when no one else has managed to go faster than 70, seriously impressive knock"
