Scorer: K Vairavan | Commentator: Ashish Pant

After a heavy defeat at the hands of India, Pakistan have bounced back strongly and made to sure to lift their NRR along the way. They now move ahead of Nepal on the points table to number 2. Nepal, they have a few things to ponder upon ahead of their next game against India on Tuesday. That will be it from us today, but we will be back nice and early for another double-header day tomorrow. Until then, this is me Ashish Pant, signing off on behalf of Hemant Brar and K Vairavan. Ciao!

Nida Dar, the Pakistan captain: Lots of positives. We batted and bowled well and we should take this win forward. [The support staff] They always try to help us. With the new management, we have a new connection. They have helped us a lot. They are keenly working on fielding, batting and bowling. [On Gull Feroza's knock] A perfect combination of Muneeba and Feroza at the top. A lot of positives because they took the momentum forward..

Gull Feroza is the player of the match: It is a memorable day for me and I am very happy that I could help my team win. I wanted to play my natural game. This game has become so aggressive and that is my natural game. The cover drive was my favourite. Want to dedicate this award to my family.

Indu Barma, the Nepal captain: We tried our best to play good cricket. Pakistan is a very good team, but we could not execute our plans. It is our learning time. [Run outs the difference] Definitely, because two of our players could make more runs. And that was the turning point. [On Puja Mahato and Kabita Joshi] I am very happy because they are the young players.

Do hang around for the presentations

Shaheen Syeda: "Good approach by PAK batters. Fast and effective instead of defensive"

9.32pm A clinical NRR-boosting win for Pakistan and a much-needed one. They reach the 109-target with nine wickets in hand and in just 11.5 overs. This will give their net run rate a big boost too, and that might prove to be crucial as the tournament reaches its business end. Feroza Gull started off fluently and never stopped. She was the aggressor of the two, and reached her maiden T20I fifty off just 30 balls. Muneeba Ali started slow but soon caught up with a few big strikes. The duo added 106 off just 68 balls before Gul fell with Pakistan just near the finishing line for a 35-ball 57. Muneeba, however, made sure to stay till the end and took Pakistan over the line remaining unbeaten on 46 off 34.

Joshi to Muneeba Ali, FOUR, That's that! Muneeba goes down-town and ends this chase in style. Tossed up on leg stump, she backs away and lofts this over mid-off. A couple of bounces seals an emphatic win for Pakistan. They win by nine wickets.

Joshi to Gull Feroza, OUT, Short, wide and she slaps it straight to point. So, this will not be a ten-wicket win for Pakistan. Should have been smashed away, but she couldn't keep it down. A top innings regardless.
