Pakistan need 104 to make the final. Not a daunting score but UAE can make it tough. Find out how it goes with Himanshu.

3:39pm That innings was quintessential scrapping. UAE squeezed out every run by placing the ball to all areas of the ground and running like there was no tomorrow. Oza and Edagoge tried to impart power but that didn't work much. Theertha had to change gears and snuck a lot of ones and twos. Sandhu was economical but was worked out by the batters dinking it about. Tuba and Syeda brought in pace that got wickets but UAE's lower order continued to run away with sneaked runs to finish with 103.

Theertha Satish: Going in, the last two games haven't been good for me and I had nothing to lose. So wanted to make most of it while playing Pakistan, which doesn't happen everyday. The pitch seems to have low bounce, it's turning well. So our spinners should be in play. Kavisha and Vaishu are handy regardless of the conditions. Football is still part of my routine, match doesn't happen without it. Dar bowling just two overs was a surprise.

Syeda Aroob Shah to Nandakumar, 2 runs, The final ball encapsulates the innings pretty much. Another missed run out. Dar yells in frustration again. Was a low full toss that dipped and the batter danced down and lumped it across the line to long-on's right. The gather was quick, the throw was flat but wide to the bowler's left and half-volleyed her. Didn't get hands on it in the end

Syeda Aroob Shah to Keny, OUT, Yes, finally, a run out. About 30 overs too late considering how frantic the running has been. Syeda dove back and to the right, stopped the rolling ball with her right hand, got back up and over-armed a throw onto the stumps. She kicks the turf to vent out a celebration. Was a wide, fullish ball that Keny tried to slap. Got it off the bottom of the bat

1
Tuba Hassan to Vaishnave Mahesh, 1 run, Is that finally a run out? Tuba got the throw low, took a second to gather it cleanly and transfer the ball to the right hand to whip off the bails. That's allowed the batter to dive through and make her ground. Was punched off the back foot straight to cover

W
Sadia Iqbal to Hotchandani, OUT, Excellent low catch at deep midwicket. Spreads her hands out while sliding belly-first into the ground, for a bit of showmanship. Pakistan's catching has been the opposite of their ground fielding, effecting run outs in particular. Was a full ball that was slog swept

H Hotchandani c Gull Feroza b Sadia Iqbal 9 (17m 9b 0x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

"How many more run-out chances can Sadia produce in the next two balls?", quips Raunak Kapoor on air

Sadia Iqbal to Hotchandani, 2 runs, Scream of catch but the thick outside edge from the off drive drive goes through backward point. Stopped in the outfield. They're checking for a short run.
