5.17pm Done with 28 balls to spare. What a rout, Gayle single-handedly puts Rangpur Riders into the second qualifier. He smashed 126 off just 51 balls - with six fours and 14 sixes - to hunt down a tough target with unbelievable ease. He ran a quick single to begin the chase, and you felt that he was switched on for the big occasion. He was. Rangpur will go to the next qualifier, to play the loser of the BPL's next game today.
Chris Gayle is the Man of the Match: "All about momentum when you're batting as well, a 170 wicket, the best wicket in Dhaka so far. Pressure was always there. Always important for somebody in the top three to bat deep. I never like to leave it for anyone, we have guys in the shed, but have to take it across the line."
Mashrafe Mortaza: "Our bowling is good for the top six overs. Malinga was struggling but he has been a champion bowler. We did some mistakes, which we can improve upon later on. He's (Gayle) king of this format, he is difficult to stop."
Mahmudullah: "It was a decent score, but Chris took the game from us. We batted and bowled really well. Someone has to lose."
He made two fifties earlier in the season, but come the big game, he stood up with a belligerent hundred that took Rangpur Riders one step closer to the BPL trophy
