10.13pm So, that's the end of that for now. England are through, along with South Africa, who play West Indies in their final group match. Win that, and they are guaranteed to qualify in top spot. Who they face in the semi-finals, all will be revealed in the coming days. From myself and Valkerie, who is bashing out the match report, goodnight!

Heather Knight: "We knew it was going to be a slow wicket, we knew we'd have to be clever, keep it simple, and that's what we did today. Amy's had a few low scores so we wanted to change something, and she showed amazing character in her innings. Mady came in because of the conditions, she put in a really good performance. We'll have to sit down and look at the best line-up for the semi-finals. We knew we'd have to win, we've been playing knock-out cricket since the second game."

Anisa Mohammed speaks in the absence of their injured captain Stafanie Taylor. "One of the things we needed to do right was the fielding, and our energy was good. But I think they got away in the last five overs. One of the things we need to work on is running between the wickets. We are really disappointed, we wanted to go through but it wasn't to be this year."

Nat Sciver is Player of the Match: "It's going nicely, a bit of a different innings today, a bit slower than the wickets we've played on, we knew if we ran well and had a batter in at the end it would be easier to get the boundaries. Danni Wyatt's a great runner. There was a game before us and the score was similar, we had to bat smart."

10pm Smiles all round from England. They've regrouped very well after their shock loss to South Africa in their tournament opener. Nat Sciver was the mainstay in a very professionally compiled total of 143, before the spinners once more soared to the fore, with Sophie Ecclestone's 3 for 7 the outstanding contribution. India, or the winner of tomorrow's massive showdown between Australia and New Zealand, awaits...

Raj Melgandi: "Running between the wickets and the art of rotating strike makes the difference between AUS/ENG and rest teams ."

Calitha: "Well, I think that's England's spin bowlers sorted for the next decade or so." Can't argue with that ... Ecclesone, Glenn and Villiers have a combined age of 61!

Ecclestone to Mohammed, OUT, all over! Ecclestone finds the perfect combination of flight and bite to peg back off stump, and book England's place in the last four! Mohammed swipes all round her stroke, and that's an ignominious exit for the 2016 champions

Villiers to Mohammed, 1 run, pulls another long-hop past the stretching Glenn at backward square. That's the offie's work done, her influence was far more telling than her figures suggest

Villiers to Mohammed, FOUR, thumped on the up over the covers! Defiance at the last!

Taylor won't bat again, so just the one more wicket. A hat-trick of run-outs anyone?

W
Villiers to Alleyne, OUT, short from Villiers, a bit of a rank long-hop to be fair, but Alleyne can't get her sweep past short fine leg, but sets off for a suicidal single anyway! Villiers gathers again, breaks the stumps again, and all but seals England's semi-final berth!

AA Alleyne run out 10 (7b 2x4 0x6) SR: 142.85

Anisa Mohammad enters the fray

Abhijato: "Sent in a prediction at the start of the innings saying England will win. They indeed are going to. Looking forward to seeing them in the knockouts, they tend to turn into a different team under pressure ..." Until they face Australia, of course...

W
Villiers to Fletcher, OUT, bashed hard into the covers, and this is going to be a very simple run out! Villiers gathers the shy and whips off the bails with Fletcher nowhere to be seen. The umpire sends it upstairs to be sure, but that was curtains
