Hypocaust: "This is Stafanie Taylor's highest score at a T20 World Cup since making 59 against Australia in the final at Eden Gardens in 2016."

3:31pm Another innings at this T20 World Cup that was devoid of sustained tempo or momentum. West Indies were jolted early, with Kapp accounting for Matthews. Dottin then gave them hope of a counter-attack, only for Dottin to then perish to Kapp. Taylor, who walked in at 3, helped keep the innings together and kept things ticking, even if she was never really able to break free completely. That, coupled with James' cameo, took WI closer to 120.

A brilliant all-round bowling effort by South Africa. Mlaba was the pick of their bowling bunch, bagging four wickets. Kapp was not shabby either, and in the last five, they only conceded 35, despite having to contend with Taylor, who was set at the crease. They will be happier at this stage but will be quietly aware of what happened yesterday and the slightly sluggish nature of the surface. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Stafanie Taylor: It was really hot. The wicket was a bit slow and they started changing pace and using their variations, which made it hard to hit down the ground. We did not get many boundaries and running between the wickets was also hard (because of the heat). It was crucial for us to get some partnerships. Losing Hayley early is never easy, and then losing Deandra as well. It (the plan) was about running between the wickets and then hopefully to get a few boundaries.

1
de Klerk to Zaida James, 1 run, fullish on middle and off. James plants her front foot and has a pop at it. Miscues it completely and the ball does not even seem to cross the circle in the mid on region. A single to end the innings!
19.5
4
de Klerk to Zaida James, FOUR, up and over! Loose full toss, laced with width. James lines it up early, throws the kitchen sink at it and flays it over cover point!
19.4
1
de Klerk to Taylor, 1 run, full on off. Taylor marches down the track and powers it on the bounce to long off. Just another single
19.3
1
de Klerk to Zaida James, 1 run, hard length, angling into middle and leg. James is cramped for room and cloths it tamely towards long on
19.2
1
de Klerk to Taylor, 1 run, right into the blockhole on middle and off. Taylor digs it out towards de Klerk, who misfields and allows a single. Not the worst outcome for SA, with Taylor off strike now

Taylor back on strike. Can she find the fence a couple of times (at least)?

1lb
de Klerk to Zaida James, 1 leg bye, slanted in on a length on leg stump. James plays all over it and the ball deflects off her back thigh into the off side

de Klerk to bowl the last over, and it looks like SA have avoided the over-rate penalty too. Around the wicket

Tryon to Taylor, no run, full outside off. Taylor skips down the track and times the pants off her cover drive. Unfortunately for her, it is straight at extra cover
18.5
4
Tryon to Taylor, FOUR, a rare freebie and Taylor puts it away! Gentle full toss on leg stump and that certainly falls under the buffet ball category. Taylor picks her spot and belts it between deep mid wicket and deep square leg!
18.4
1
Tryon to Zaida James, 1 run, fuller just outside off. James gets forward and drives it to long off
18.3
0
Tryon to Zaida James, no run, hung up on a length wide outside off. James gives it the lot but does not make contact
18.2
0
Tryon to Zaida James, no run, back of a length on leg stump. James swings so hard at it that she turns herself inside-out. The ball goes past her pull and flicks the body on its way to the keeper

Around the wicket to James too

1
Tryon to Taylor, 1 run, shortish on the stumps. Taylor hops back and pulls it on the bounce to long on

Tryon to bowl the penultimate over. The innings timer shows SA are just two minutes behind. Is bowling spin a ploy to get that in order?

Khaka to Zaida James, 1 run, cutter on a back of a length on off. Nips back a shade and cramps James for room, who tugs it towards deep mid wicket
17.3
0
Khaka to Zaida James, no run, slightly slower and fuller outside off. James looks to go inside out again but only connects with fresh air on this occasion
17.2
4
Khaka to Zaida James, FOUR, much-needed boundary, and it comes off James' blade! In the slot outside off. James stays leg side, swings through the line and carves it over extra cover!

The innings timer also shows that South Africa are four minutes behind at this stage. Khaka is okay to continue

Looks like Khaka has an issue with her right foot now, and the physio has been summoned

17.1
1
Khaka to Taylor, 1 run, fullish on off. Taylor transfers her weight forward but cloths her attempted lofted stroke. Trickles down to long off

Khaka to bowl the 18th. She will likely bowl the 20th too
