8.23pm India ran away to 40 for 0 in four overs, but Australia have struck back to pin India down to 132 for 4. After teenager Shafali's salvo at the top, Kimmince and co. worked their way through India's line-up. Rodrigues and Sharma then repaired the innings in the middle with a half-century stand, but the big finish didn't quite come for India. Having said that, the ball isn't coming onto the bat, and India have three spinners to exploit this track. Alex will be back in the hot seat for the start of the second innings. Cheers
Sanjay Jha: "Last 5 overs were played with lack of confidence and somewhere it was a strategic mistake... should have gone for big hits when they had so many wickets in hand... short by at least 15 runs "
S. Pandey: "I'd reckon 132 is defendable. Not too massive a score, but defendable at the very least. Good to see the middle order stepping up a bit, although they didn't quite capitalise on Shefali's roaring start. This makes for an interesting match though. "
Aditya: "Bit disappointed with this performance. Would rather be 132 all out than 132/4"
SHIRISHKUMAR A : "The wicket of Beth mooney and Ash Gardner is key"
Andrew McGlashan from the Showground: First time in 24 T20Is Schutt hasn't taken a wicket
Krish: "Such lack of intent from Veda, very disappointing to see her in this team. Not even keen to take the second run!"
Priyesh: "Seems Deepti had just one stroke for every ball !! No intent to hit the ball in the air from both the batters with 6 wickets in hand. Not enough with THAT batting line up !"
