Ireland's best chance of competing was to bat first and put runs up against the four-time champions. The coin toss went their way and finished the Powerplay on 27 without loss. Then the big-match nerves failed them, and they played shots they shouldn't have. They didn't run well, and weren't helped by poor umpiring calls - the one to dock them five runs. All this has meant Australia's target is a small one. Just a question of how many overs, you feel. Let's see how they approach it. When Australia come out to bat, they'll start with 5/0.
