Spins away just a shade and that causes the miscue as Louis is looking to go downtown. The ball swirls off the outside edge and Theekshana, after a couple of bites at the cherry, holds on. Gestures at the lights straightaway but the Royals will be relieved they have finally held onto one! 82/4

9.2 does him like a kipper! Beautifully-disguised slower ball on a length on middle and leg. Hasaranga, like the previous ball, tries to go downtown but does not pick the variation. Swings way too early and the ball has an uninterrupted path into the stumps. Three wickets in quick succession for the Royals again! 84/6

8.6 high into the night sky, and into Holder's bucket hands at long on! Wellalage dangles the carrot on a length outside off and Rutherford bites. Has an almighty swing at it and gets plenty of height on it. Rutherford is hitting against the breeze, though, and the ball holds up just a shade, bringing Holder into the game. He tracks it all the way and despite a slight juggle, clings on. Holder's height played a role too but either way, the Royals will be chuffed! 84/5

15.4 does him all ends up! Beautiful bowling! Superbly-executed back-of-the-hand slower ball that dips on the batter late and lands on a perfect length just outside off. Mohsin does not pick it out of the hand and reaches out well in front of his body. Chips it tamely back to McCoy, who completes the easiest of catches! 104/7

19.5 chaos all around! Speared down leg. John swings and misses, and there is a run out too because Clarkson wanted to pinch the single that John was just not looking for. Easy run out at the bowler's end and after all that confusion, Clarkson will be on strike for the final ball because it was called a wide! 153/8

0.2 knocks him over! Length ball that starts outside off and swerves back in very late. Cornwall has a flat-footed waft at it and does not account for the movement. Misses it altogether and the ball smashes into the top of off stump. Jubilation for Mayers and the Patriots; disappointed for Cornwall and the Royals! 0/1

4.1 Mayers rips out de Kock! Pushed in on a fullish length on off, and the ball seems to nip back into de Kock with the angle. He looks to go over mid off but the movement back into him completely deceives him. Goes clean through and de Kock hears the death rattle soon after! 25/2

6.1 Alleyne bites the dust! Half-tracker on middle and leg, and that ought to have been deposited into the stands. Alleyne shapes for the pull but clinks it right off the toe-end. Mayers settles himself on the deep mid wicket fence and does the rest. Crucial wicket, given how Alleyne was batting! 53/3

9.5 six and out! Hasaranga has the last laugh! Googly on a back of a length on off. Perhaps Hasaranga shortened his length after seeing Brooks advance, and the latter could not get to the pitch of the ball. Brooks swung at it wildly and missed it completely, with his stumps pegged back moments later! 71/4

16.1 Wellalage has been run out - oh my! Hard length, angling into middle and off. Powell hacks it towards deep mid wicket and the batters decide on going for the second. Wellalage is always struggling and the work in the field is swift. Nortje's handling was not quite up to scratch at the bowler's end but he manages to inadvertently deflect the ball onto the stumps off his hands. Massive moment in the game! 120/5

16.6 Nortje gets Powell, and the Patriots surge into the ascendancy! Full outside off and Powell thinks he can thump this downtown. The bottom hand comes through a little too much, though, and he tugs at it much more than he would have wanted. Chops it back onto leg stump and he is distraught. He cannot believe what he has done, and that wicket brings the crowd to life at Warner Park! 126/6

19.1 taken beautifully by Clarkson at deep backward square leg, and John comes up trump against Holder! Full toss on the stumps and Holder's eyes light up. He clears his front leg and swings at it. Does not get a good enough chunk of it, though, and Clarkson, running around to his left, dives forward to snare the chance. The Patriots are right back in this! 146/7

Not sure if the ball grazed the pad or not but Theekshana, for some reason, hared down for the single. Got sent back and was well short as Fletcher's throw found the bowler, who took off the bails.
