Decides he wants to come back for the second and has to scramble back. Puts in a sprawling dive but looks like it might not be enough. Fletcher is inches short when the bails light up. Superb throw and work by Seifert, and this is the worst possible start for the Patriots! 2/1

19.4 Mayers perishes! Attempted yorker outside off, which ends up as a low full toss. However, it is still tough for Mayers to get under it completely and go inside out. Slices it a touch and arrows it towards Govia at deep cover, who tracks it all the way and snaffles up the chance with a dive forward. An exceptional innings comes to an end! 201/2

19.5 knocks him over first ball! Beautifully-executed yorker, honing into off stump. Rutherford, rather ambitiously, looks for the reverse ramp and makes a hash of it. The ball breezes past the bat and knocks back off stump. Wiese celebrates, and the Patriots lose two in two! 201/3

2.2 leg stump out of the ground! Full ball that starts in and around off stump before boomeranging back into Charles. He looks for the big slog over long on but misses it completely, largely because of the inward movement. The ball thuds into leg stump and flattens it, with Charles now having to make the long walk back! 14/1

3.2 oh, put a cape on Kyle Mayers, and hang that in the Louvre! Is there anything this man cannot do?! Hard length again, slanting into leg stump. du Plessis gives Nortje the charge and swipes at it. Gets it high up on the bat, though, and skews it towards mid on. Mayers seems second-best for the longest while to get there but somehow manages it, eventually completing the catch with a Superman-esque lunge into the air, over his right shoulder. Everything Mayers touches, is turning to gold tonight! 20/3

2.6 and the move pays immediate dividends! Length ball on middle and leg, and this one swerves away very late. By then, Auguste is committed to playing it to leg and that causes a leading edge. The ball swirls towards Nortje at third man and he makes no mistake. Mayers and Fletcher are jubilant; the Kings, in a spot of bother! 20/2

Scuffs it, though, and arrows it tamely towards mid off. Mayers back-tracks a couple of steps and then completes the catch. Will that wicket turn this game? 127/5
