A fullish delivery outside off, Charles looks to go over long-on, a calculated risk, but with Ryder struggling at the other end, all he needed to do was give him strike. Instead, he picks out long-on and the Stars slump further. A nice legcutter from slightly wide of the crease from Emrit 35/3

1.5 a juggle, but taken! That's excellent bowling. Not many spinners are willing to bowl full in the Powerplay, but Permaul has been full through the over. It spins a touch, and hits the outside half of Fletcher's swinging bat. Skewed to long-off, where Rashid gets underneath, but the ball bursts out. He keeps his calm and takes the parry 6/1

2.1 Watson is run-out! The Stars in trouble again. That's fantastic fielding. Good length delivery outside off, slashed towards backward point, who dives to his right, half-stops the ball, but the point fielder runs around, picks up and over-arms a feeble throw to the non-striker's end, where Watson is hurtling to despite not wanting the run. Keemo Paul's throw hits the stumps direct, and it had to be because Tanvir was ball-watching, and wasn't near the stumps. Waton put his hand up to say no, but sacrificed himself in the end 6/2

10.1 quick and straight, worked to midwicket. And Ryder should be run-out. This is just appalling cricket from the Stars. He was never going to make it with his taped knee. Finds deep midwicket, but for some inexplicable reason, wants the second. "Keeper, keeper" go the Warriors fielders. The throw is good and the keeper does the rest. 47/4

15.1 a half-appeal and the finger goes up. Pitched outside leg? Short on leg, rips back in and strikes Sammy right in front of middle. Pitched on middle actually, but there was a massive inside edge on that. Sammy has a sarcastic chuckle at himself, that's all you can do when you get a shocker like that. 73/5

17.5 makes a tough catch look so incredibly easy. One of the best fielders in the world. Flight outside off, Cornwall is hanging on the back foot - primarily because he can't read Rashid and prefers to read him off the pitch - but Rashid knows exactly what's happening. He bowls this full. Cornwall's balance is on the back foot and so even he can't time it properly. Guptill, at long-off, has to run in and to his right. Gets there and completes a quality catch with a forward dive 87/6

19.1 a short legcutter outside off, Shillingford chooses a good option - to try and go over cover - but execution and planning are two very different things. All he can do is punch a drive to cover. 92/7

0.1 and a wicket first ball! Taylor goes through Walton's defense. Full and straight, it may have hit the seam and jagged back in, struck him right in front of off. That was plumb if there was no bat. Don't think there was bat. Superb start from Taylor. 0/1
