1.55pm GAW continue to dominate at home. They've moved up to the top of the table, with 14 points and one game to go. Kings are also on 14 points, but their net run-rate is inferior to GAW's. Faf battled cramps on his way to an unbeaten 92, helping Kings protect their net run-rate. As is the norm at this venue, Tahir and the other spinners were brilliant with the ball. GAW will now face TKR in the final league game of CPL 2024. Can TKR go level with GAW and SLK on 14 points? Do join us to find out. Until next time, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off. Take care and cheers.
Hetmyer, Player of the Match: I think it's just the mindset [what has changed this season?]. I'm trying to be as clear as possible and enjoy my game. To be honest, we just choose the bowlers; we've batted a lot together [on the partnership with Hope]. I think it's nice to play at home and have familiar conditions. Nice to have them [my family] here.
Sammy, Kings coach: Just a bit of cramps and hopefully it's not something that affects his [Faf's] participation in the [rest of the] tournament. We are the best fielding team in the competition but today we were a bit flat and we took a long time to adjust to the surface. But that said, he tried what we had to do. That was really important and halfway we said, it makes no sense to get that total but we wanted to get closer to the total. Guyana were the better team today but happy with how we managed to get 170.
Tahir, GAW captain: Again and again, just want to say thanks to the Guyanese for supporting us. Getting over the line in front of them is very pleasing. The surface has been different, some grip more, but we have three-four spinners and we play according to the situation. Having a combination like that makes my job easier as a captain. If I need to bowl, otherwise Moeen and Motie are there. Every game is a game to play for and another opportunity for all the guys. They [TKR] are a very good team and we don't take it for granted and are really looking forward to a challenge.
