10:56pm Right. That brings us to the end of our coverage. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we loved bringing it to you. Until next time, this is me (Shashwat) saying goodbye on behalf of Binoy George and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo. Take care, folks!
Kieron Pollard, Trinbago Knight Riders captain: (On how satisfied he is with the win) Very satisfying. They got off to a flyer but we sort of expected that. Once we got a couple of wickets and the field was spread, we kept things in control. (On the over-rate penalties) To be honest, it will take away the hard work everyone has done (prior to the penalties). We are like the pawns and we are going to do what we are told. We are going to play as fast as we can. If you are penalized for 30-45 seconds in a tournament like this, it is absolutely ridiculous. I liked how we approached it (the run-chase). Pooran has been doing well (at 3). Once you have wickets in hand on a ground like this, it is tough to defend.
Sherfane Rutherford, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots captain: (On his knock) I think for me, it was satisfying. Told myself to take the game deep and I did it well. We were short by a few runs, lost wickets at crucial times. Have to regroup now and come again. (On the pitch) It was a good wicket. When we tried to accelerate, we lost wickets and then had to take a few steps back. It is tough but the guys need to look in the mirror, assess and come back stronger. Coming up against a team (like the Knight Riders), they have players who can put you under pressure. As a batting unit, we tried our best. As a bowling unit, we have to look where we went wrong and come again. (On how he plans to lift the team) We have a few experienced guys in the team. T20 cricket changes fast. Nothing is guaranteed. We have four more games and we can turn things around.
Nicholas Pooran, Player of the Match: (On his knock) Just happy that we got two points tonight, really important for us. We had a lot of chat (on how to improve) in the dressing room. Good to see that we put our talk into action. I have been working hard for the last couple of years and I am in a good space. Really enjoying batting, really enjoying my cricket. He (Tucker) is really talented. We played with him in the ILT20. As soon as he came in, he was positive and really happy that he could contribute. (On Bravo) He is approaching 65 but he is playing like 29 (smiles). The way he plays the game, the way he teaches the youngsters about the game - he is a legend.
10:33pm A comfortable victory for the Knight Riders in the end. Pooran set up the chase after coming in to bat inside the powerplay. Pollard then ensured the momentum was not lost after Pooran departed, with Russell also finding the fence towards the end. A shoutout to Tucker too, who kept things ticking and denied the Patriots any window of opportunity in the middle overs.
Speaking of the Patriots, well, their shoulders began to drop the moment Naveed was hit for four sixes in an over. The problems, though, run much deeper than that one over. Apart from Bosch, none of the other bowlers looked threatening enough, meaning that they never really applied the requisite pressure on the batters. They have now lost all four of their completed matches, and tonight was another illustration of why they need to pull up their bowling socks.
