10.34 pm That 20th over in the first innings turns out being mighty pivotal after all. Instead of bowling David Wiese, who had been marvelous with three wickets at the death, the Kings opt for Kesrick Williams who gives up 19 runs including three sixes to Nabi as part of his 31 not out. Kings were way ahead of the rate in the first 10 overs of the chase, but they continued to go way too hard and lost wickets rapidly to the Tallawahs spinners and couldn't arrest the slide.
So the Tallawahs advance to face Guyana Amazon Warriors in the next playoff match tomorrow night to see who will advance to the final against Barbados Royals.
Mohammad Nabi is the Player of the Match: "The wicket is not that easy to score straightaway on the batting. I took my time and targeted the last two overs to help my team to a score. It was not easy to chase 150 on that wicket. We discussed after the innings that we would fight to restrict the runs, wicket to wicket bowling, dot balls to build pressure. We stuck to wicket to wicket, sometimes it skidded low, sometimes it came high. It was amazing crowd when we played against Guyana, hopefully we will perform again."
That's it for coverage of today's game. Come back for tomorrow night's next playoff match to see who will progress to the 2022 CPL Final. Until then, take care!
KOK Williams c †Lewis b Mohammad Amir 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0
Joseph opts to take the single to leave Williams with one ball to face from Amir to end the over.
Amir goes back over the wicket after just one ball around the stumps that disappears for six.
Amir switches around the stumps now.
Amir returns for the last rites.
