6:56 pm A dominant performance from Amazon Warriors. Pooran gave them the lift with the bat in the first innings before Odean Smith really put the nail in the coffin with that wicket maiden to Russell.
Tallawahs captain Rovman Powell: "Our batting in the middle overs was our downfall. I'm not carrying on. I'm getting some scores here and there but just not carrying on for the big one."
GAW captain and Player of the Match Nicholas Pooran: "I know I was due and there was no better opportunity for me. Today was my day. I knew it was better for the spinners. I just wanted to get a few overs in from my pacers but I wanted to use my spinners for the main overs. Our local players have been doing good. Gudakesh and Odean Smith have been doing well so why not trust them."
Warriors move up to second on the table, in a four-way tie with TKR, Kings and Patriots but with the second-best net run rate out of all of them. Tallawahs playoff hopes hang by a thread needing a win in the rematch with Warriors tomorrow as well as a lot of net run rate help elsewhere.
Flip over to the match feed of TKR v Patriots for the coverage brought to you by Alex Malcolm and Andrew McGlashan for the final match of today's doubleheader beginning at 7:30 pm local time in about 25 minutes. That's it from me tonight. Take care!
