9:50 pm That's all from us today. Thanks for joining and see you soon.
Chris Gayle: Credit must go to oshane. He put us on the back foot straight away. There's no over-reliance on me and Evin. We still have match winners down the order. We have to set it up for them. It doesn't happen all the time. We go to Barbados now. We need some momentum for the playoffs. We don't know where we're going to place, long or short route, we want to make it to the final.
Kumar Sangakkara: We've tried to get the balance right when you don't have an allrounder in the top 7. But Madhmuduallah did nicely. O'shane Thomas gave us such a great start, getting the Universe Boss. Chris [Gayle] should get the credit for that, it was him who spotted and brought him in last year. Extra pace with control gives us a great edge. The fielding was great today, barring my miss. We have one more really important game against a Guyana side that has really come back strongly in the tournament. We're looking to get into the top two.
Oshane Thomas, Man of the Match: Not aware [that I was bowling 150+]. I would credit Andrew [inaudible] for my success. My favourite wicket was Chris [Gayle].
9:30 pm A sensational defence of an average score. Started by a bustling 20-year-old fast bowler who removed Gayle, Mohammad Nabi and Carlos Brathwaite in his first game of the season. O'Shane Thomas consistently hit 145 and even managed 150 a couple of times. What an exciting prospect. Mahmudullah applied the brakes, Sami made the breakthroughs and Santokie finished it all off. Jamaica Tallawahs have qualified to the playoffs.
