Saurabh Netravalkar: "I wanted to stick to my strengths, using my over-the-wicket angle and taking the ball away from the batter, and I also focused on my slower balls. It's an electric atmosphere here, and I'm really grateful for the platform. I got the opportunity at the last minute, so I'm grateful for it, and I'm happy I could execute for the team. I think in the initial 10 overs, there was some spin, but I can see some dew creeping in, so hopefully, the ball will stay and it will be better to bat on. We'll take it ball by ball and play positive. If the ball is there to hit, we'll hit it. We have the batting lineup to chase this total. So let's see; we're hoping for the best."
John: "Really feel happy for Netravalkar. He has been exceptional since last year. from Bowling the super over against Pak in T20WC to a match defining performance in CPL final. He is the north star for all engineers :) "
9:50 pm An interesting choice to bat first after winning the toss, and it backfired straight away for the Warriors. Andre Russell struck with the new ball, getting the big wicket of Quinton Sampson in the first over with a short-ball tactic. After a cautious start, Ben McDermott broke free with three consecutive boundaries but then gifted his wicket away to the only sweeper fielder at mid-wicket. It was a rare off day for Shai Hope, who was clean bowled by a ripper from Akeal Hosein. The pitch started to favor the spinners early on, and the batters struggled to score runs. Wickets were lost continuously in the middle overs, and the runs dried up, piling up pressure and forcing the Warriors out of the game. Brilliant captaincy by Nicholas Pooran, with his rotation of the bowlers, didn't allow the batters to settle. Some late, handy knocks from Pretorius, Iftikhar, and Shepherd helped them get to a decent total. Saurabh Netravalkar was brilliant with the ball, picking up three wickets, and Akeal Hosein got two, with all the bowlers being economical today.

DaWolf: "There's not been anything in it for the seamers really. It's just a standard pitch. Yes Motie and Tahir have been great, but Ali hasn't been anything special this tournament and same for the seamers. So TKR *should* be able to chase 140 quite easily. Should..... doesn't always work like that! "

Russell is receiving treatment in the dressing room; he doesn't seem like he will return to the pitch to bowl another over today. Here's Netravalkar.
