Ackeem Auguste: "I just want to thank God I'm happy to have a contribution toward the team. The first ball was a six. I guess you heard our coach talk about matchups a lot, and I felt the ball was in my area, so I just went out there and committed 100%. I think the most important thing is just trusting my abilities. I came into this season with a bigger self-belief and got the support from the staff and the other players. I'm just really happy to be able to contribute toward the team. [Partnership with Chase] The partnership was good. We just played what we saw, and we backed ourselves. We always spoke about having an impact, so it was good when I got my matchup and capitalized on it. I think it's a decent total, and I believe our bowlers have the ability to defend that total."

Manthan Jain : "Chase innings progression 21 off 5 vs moenn in powerplay then subdued 16 off 18 then 32 off 15 from 10th to 15th over then 21 off 17 in death...." He slowed down significantly in the latter part of the innings. The big question now is, will that loss of momentum come back to hurt them?

12:45 pm A lively start for the Warriors, as Motie struck straight away in the second over to get the massive wicket of Tim Seifert. Charles and Auguste started a counterattack to ease off the pressure, but Charles was clean bowled by Pretorius in the fourth over. Then came the turning point. Roston Chase struck 21 runs off Moeen Ali's over inside the Powerplay, shifting the momentum again. He and Auguste built a well-struck 90-run partnership off 56 balls, which set a strong foundation for the Kings. Auguste scored his 2nd CPL fifty off just 29 deliveries. The Warriors' fielding woes continued as Hetmyer dropped a catch off both Auguste and Chase, which proved to be very costly. Chase remained unbeaten, scoring a brilliant 90 runs off 55 balls. The Warriors did make a decent comeback in the last five overs, conceding only 43 runs. Pretorius picked up two wickets, while Motie and Tahir grabbed one each.
