Kieron Pollard: "[Longevity] 'Number 55' has been playing a lot of cricket for a long time. I understand that sometimes you have to make way, but I'm not down yet. I hope I'm giving the fans something to remember. I've been taking care of my body. In 2013-2015, I had two ACL injuries that could have been career-threatening. Since then, there's been a shift in how I take care of my body. My trainer, Zeph, has been with me for the last three or four years, and he has been the one keeping me in the park. It just goes to show that once you take care of your body, you are going to achieve good things. [Switching gears] The scoreboard dictates it, and the bowling changes dictate what you're going to do. We lost a wicket, so we had to consolidate a bit. I saw two overs of spin, and at the end of it, we knew it was time to go. We didn't take a single. We have a lot of conversations like that in the dressing room. I think 179 for six is a good total. The ball was coming onto the bat a bit more at the start, but as the sun hit the pitch, it was a bit slow, and it was hard to consistently hit the seamers. Having said that, we still have to go out and give a good account of ourselves. Hopefully, it is enough for us."

1:21 pm The Knight Riders lost both of their explosive openers cheaply in the Powerplay, putting their middle order to the test for the first time this season. Nicholas Pooran stepped up with three sixes in the 5th over against Ashmead Nedd, while Darren Bravo, in his 100th CPL game, struggled with the bat and was dismissed after scoring just 22 runs off 25 deliveries. The real turning point, however, was the Kieron Pollard show. As runs and boundaries were drying up, he provided a much-needed boost, striking three sixes in the 15th over against Bidaisee. In the very next over, he went berserk, smashing four consecutive sixes off Salamkheil. In just two overs, Pollard hit 7 sixes in 8 balls, completely taking the game away from the Patriots. Pollard was eventually dismissed after a blistering 65 runs off 29 balls, while Pooran finished with 52 off 38 deliveries. Early in the innings, a dropped catch, a few missed run-outs, and some misfields also proved costly for the Patriots. Jason Holder was the pick of the bowlers once again, picking up two wickets and being economical.

Manoj: "When he start attacks one spinner, its better to go with pacer. Poor move from Holder to give Waqim an over. "
