Shai Hope: "[Batting form] I feel pretty good. I've been batting nicely for the last couple of months. I think that the preparation I've been putting into my cricket thing is coming to fruition now. Just happy that we can get the guys a decent score today; myself and Hettie played a very good part today to give ourselves a nice target. [Fans] They always come out in support. I don't know if they live here or if they always travel, but it's great to see them coming out in their numbers, consistently like this. We definitely love the support. We can feel the energy from the outside. It's great; they give us that momentum there, myself and Hetty there, and give us a good chance to win this game. When I play so much cricket, sometimes I actually want the rest a little bit. But for me, I just think you have to find that balance. Especially now with so much cricket playing. I'm currently playing all three formats; it's important for me to get some time off, even though I'm playing so much cricket. But yes, I'm happy for that weekend. I don't think it did too much harm. I think it did better than anything; I'm just happy with the runs that we have on the board today."

Ravi: "A similar slog overs barrage from Shepherd took RCB to a huge first innings total of 211 as well out of nowhere!"

Hari: "Someone wrote off GAW saying they set up for below par score. Look at the innings finishing now, Never write a team off till the final ball here and till the injury time finishes in Football "

9:45 pm Batting first was an interesting call, but it paid off handsomely for the visiting team! The early part of the innings was tough for the Warriors. The ball swung both ways with extra bounce, leading to a pile-up of dot balls. They even lost their last match's hero, McDermott, in just the second over. A 45-minute rain delay arrived just before the end of the Powerplay, but no overs were lost. After the break, the Warriors started to rotate the strike more frequently. The first half of the innings belonged to the home team, but the last half was all about the Warriors. Hetmyer upped the tempo, which allowed Shai Hope to play his natural game. Hope went on to score a fantastic 82 runs off 54 balls before being dismissed after whipping a full toss to midwicket. However, Hetmyer stole the show, staying unbeaten with a blistering 65 runs off just 26 deliveries, including 5 fours and 5 sixes. Shepherd finished things off with a quick-fire cameo of 25 runs off 8 balls. The Falcons' bowlers completely lost the plot after picking up the wicket of Anderson, as the Warriors' batters ran riot all over the ground. Imad, Seales, and McCoy each managed to pick up one wicket.
