Jayden Seales: "I really understood my lengths from playing CPL the last few years, and now playing ODI cricket for the West Indies team, I kind of understood the lengths I needed to bowl, and I just tried to back myself to get into the game and have a good performance. The pitch was a bit tacky. It had a bit of uneven bounce. It was swinging a bit, so I kind of understood the length I needed to bowl, and I knew the template that the pitch was giving us, and I just tried to stick it as low as possible. I think if you told us before the game started that 151 is the score we had to get in the second innings, we'd take that anytime, because they have a strong batting lineup, and I think we bowled pretty well, trying to restrict them to that score."

DaWolf: "Great batting from Powell, is he coming in too low? Feels like par. Chasing pitch though, most chases get home here." He should come in at number 4, in my opinion.

8:48 pm With an overcast sky and a slow outfield, the Royals started their innings cautiously. Brandon King was dismissed in the second over by a brilliant outswinging delivery from Jayden Seales. The Falcons' fielding was solid early in the innings, apart from a dropped catch by Ghazanfar in the Powerplay. Quinton de Kock and captain Rovman Powell rebuilt the innings. De Kock went on to score a fifty, but the turning point was when Jewel Andrew dropped Powell on 0, a very costly mistake. The Royals finished strong, especially in the last over, where Powell hit three huge sixes to take his team to a total over the par score. He ended the innings with a brilliant 51 runs off just 24 balls and remained unbeaten at the crease. Imad Wasim showed excellent captaincy, rotating his bowlers well to prevent the Royals' batters from getting settled at the crease. Jayden Seales was outstanding with the ball, bowling an unplayable spell with the new ball and a top-notch death over where he conceded only two runs and took the wicket of Rutherford. McCoy also picked up two wickets.

Smith to Powell, 3 wides, This is some wayward bowling from Odean Smith. Full toss ball wide down the legside. Jewel Andrew had to cover a lot of ground, but still only managed to get a hand to it. The young wicketkeeper had to get up straight away and chase down the ball.
