Karima Gore: "The pitch is a very good pitch. I think once pace on the ball comes out, very nice, slow balls hold a bit; I think that's the difficult part. [Teammates] They were just asking me what the pitch is doing. So I just gave them a short explanation of what will happen from now on, from the bowlers. Most of the time, when the bowlers bowl slower, they want to know what kind of ball, and I just pass on information."
8:38 pm It was a difficult night for the Falcons' batters throughout the innings. They lost their opener, Andrew, in the first over, and Cornwall struggled with the new ball before heading back to the pavilion. However, Gore overcame a shaky start to find his rhythm, striking some beautiful shots straight and through the offside. He fought a lone battle, scoring a well-deserved maiden T20 fifty with 61 runs off just 34 balls. Unfortunately, none of his teammates could offer him any support with the bat. The pitch was a bit slow but not unplayable, and the Falcons' batters failed to take advantage of their chances. The Patriots' bowlers were outstanding, with Waqar Salamkheil leading the way with four wickets. Farooqi and Naseem also contributed, each taking two wickets. We will be back for the run chase after a short break.
