Harish: "What is this red card thing? Theekshana can't bat now if his team needed?" -- He can. The red card essentially means that the fielding side has one less fielder on the park.
8:53pm Well, that innings seemed to last an eternity, and the Warriors have emerged from it with 219 on the board. That was largely due to Hetmyer and Hope's exploits - both of whom rattled along to brisk fifties and produced a partnership of drool-worthy stroke-play. The Warriors lost their way a little after that, meaning that they could not cross the 220-run mark they seemed destined to at one point.
The Royals' over-rate was, to put it bluntly, quite shocking and they were made to pay towards the end, incurring three penalties, including Theekshana being sent off. That said, they did much better at the death than they did at the start and the 46 runs shipped in the final five, given the carnage earlier, seems a considerable improvement. They will still have to bat out of their skins but on a track that has seemed conducive to stroke-making, they may not entirely be out of this contest just yet. Join us in a bit for the run-chase.
Shimron Hetmyer: (On the middle overs) All about being confident. In those overs, I am trying to see if I can get one boundary per over and if I can get it early in the over, then we can probably get ten runs per over. Batting with someone like Shai helps because we run well together. If the ball was in our area, we were taking it on. It is a pretty good wicket, to be honest. You had to bowl pretty slow to get it to spin. (On the score) I think it is a very good score. If you bowl in the right areas, take our chances - we should get over the line. Probably 170 (is par).
