11:53am An innings that lasted close to two hours (no over-rate penalties incurred, by the way) and yielded 218 runs. At one point, especially when Charles and du Plessis were smashing it all around, the Kings seemed destined from much more. However, the rest could not replicate those pyrotechnics and they could only manage 45 off the last five, meaning that they ultimately fell short of the 220-run mark.
The Knight Riders, who were without Narine, also lost Bravo to injury, meaning that Pollard had to bowl his entire quota. He did a fine job, though, and ended as the Knight Riders' most successful bowler, bagging four wickets. The rest were not quite at their best, which explains why they now have a tall chase in front of them. They have the firepower to get it done, but can they do it? We will find out in a few minutes.
Tim Seifert: (On if his high back-lift is inspired from du Plessis) 100% from Faf, wanted to find a bit of flow in my batting. Watching him on TV - that is something I wanted to try and it has worked out. (On the score) This is exactly what we wanted, to throw the first punch. We have done one job, now onto the other. Hopefully we have enough.
