8:36pm A strange innings. The Falcons got off to a good start and laid a solid foundation. Billings and Greaves both batted relatively deep into the innings - the latter finishing unbeaten - but were unable to give the Falcons the finishing kick they would have wanted, even though Billings' assault on McCoy did add some impetus to their innings. Greaves, on the other hand, lost all rhythm towards the end and was helped by a couple of big hits from Primus and Springer.

The Royals, despite the ball gripping and holding, will not mind chasing this total, especially given the misfields and the dropped chances. They put down as many as three catches, with Naveen and McCoy also proving expensive. Their spinners were brilliant too, as was Holder towards the end. They have the firepower to hunt this down, even though the Falcons have a decent total on the board. Join us in a bit for the chase!

Sam Billings: Tricky pitch, they bowled really well throughout that middle phase. We have spoken about having not mastered those middle overs. You need a little bit of luck in this game. Nice to spend some time out in the middle (tonight). Very hard to start off on that pitch. We will be really happy with that innings. Lot of grip and into the pitch made it tricky. Whenever they bowled off-pace, it reacted differently. To get 175, it is a really good score. If you bowl well, that is slightly above-par.

McCoy to Springer, FOUR, gets it past de Kock! Another slower ball, this time dug into the track on off stump. Springer moves across and gloves his attempted scoop. de Kock dives to his left but cannot quite rein it in. Falcons finish with 176!

McCoy to Springer, no run, superbly-executed slower ball, pitching on a full length outside off. Springer is deceived by the lack of pace and fails to lay bat on ball

McCoy to Springer, SIX, oh, hello! Half-tracker on leg stump and that sits up nicely for Springer. He opens up his front hip and whacks it over deep mid wicket!

McCoy to Greaves, 1 wide, slower bumper on leg stump and this balloons over the batter's head, despite Greaves jumping into the air and swiping at it. Called a wide

McCoy to Greaves, no run, another beautifully-disguised slower ball on a full length just outside off. Greaves tries to smash it into next week and misses it altogether
